Cynthia Dunham

Cynthia Dunham is the Former Mayor of the Town of Gilbert. Past professional experience includes owner of a small business accounting firm, and controller for a multi-state contractor. Cynthia has served on many boards and commissions and currently serves on the board of United Food Bank, the East Valley Partnership, and co-chairs the Banner Gateway Medical Centre Festival of Trees. She currently also serves as the Director of the West Mesa Community Development Corporation. Much of her career has been focused on developing the physical infrastructure of communities. Wendy E. H. Corbett

Program Coodinator, Solve-It! Community Mediation Service

Wendy Corbett served as a volunteer mediator and instructor with the Leadership Centre for three years prior becoming the Program Director for Solve-It! Community Mediation Service in 2006. She has been involved in the field of mediation since being selected and trained as an elementary school peer mediator at the age of nine. Over the years, her passion for conflict resolution processes has continued to grow through volunteerism with several community, court, and university-coordinated mediation programs across the country, and via successful completion of numerous mediation certification programs, including Virginia State Supreme Court training in both community and family mediation, as well as small claims mediation training through the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.

In addition to her work with Solve-It!, Wendy currently serves as the Chief Research Officer of a consulting firm, Advancing Dispute Resolution, and previously served as a Faculty Associate in the School of Social Transformation at Arizona State University, where she also completed a Master of Science degree in Justice & Social Inquiry, with research focusing on peer mediation curriculum development. Since 2003, she has trained over 3,000 Arizona residents in mediation skills through workshops, seminars, peer mediation modules, and 40-hour courses. She is an active member of several academic and professional associations, including the American Bar Association, the National Coalition for Dialogue & Deliberation, and the National Association for Community Mediation, where she formerly served as Co-Chair of the Board of Directors.
